Polyamide is a synthetic fabric composed of polyamide fibres derived from petroleum.

Contrary to what is often thought, petroleum is widely used in the production of many textile products and not only for clothing. In fact, polyamide fibre is also used for the production of socks, bags and sports equipment because it is particularly elastic and light.

It should always be remembered that among the many characteristics of polyamide fabric, in addition to the already mentioned elasticity and lightness, there is also considerable strength. This is why sportswear is one of the fields in which this material.

Fashion designers also identify polyamide as the best choice for clothes for sporting activities because it is a fabric on which lively prints and intricate patterns are also easy to realise.

Seride: printing on fabrics and fibres

At Seride we have the possibility of dealing with the production of printed fabrics in addition to polyamide.

In addition, we have the option of printing on different fabrics, each of which has unique characteristics:

  • Chiffon, light and transparent perfect for delicate patterns and shades
  • Crêpe, characterised by a slightly wrinkled and irregular surface
  • Drill, particularly thick and resistant
  • Georgette, light and breathable, typically printed with floral or polka dot patterns
  • Jersey, very stretchy and soft, also suitable for small prints
  • Terrycloth, a classic, soft and thick fabric that lends itself well to prints for personalised beach towels
  • Satin, smooth and shiny, which everyone has wanted at least once in their life

At Seride, all finishing work, such as coupling, calendering, water repellent, laminating, is also done in-house.
